Pacifica is a member in good standing with the following professional organizations and certifications:
We are proud to be Certified Landscape Designers. As the website says, “There are many reasons to seek the services of a qualified Landscape Designer, indicated by the CLD designation. Good landscape design requires far more than creativity. Creativity without horticultural expertise and an extensive knowledge of site engineering will only lead to disappointment in the finished product. Only CLDs have the mandatory education and professional expertise, and have written and passed an intensive exam and review process.”
We are proud to be members of the Certified Horticultural Technicians. Certification provides the general public with an objective evaluation criteria for deciding which landscape firm to hire. Trends indicate that government organizations, landscape architects, and contractors will limit job bidding to those companies employing Certified Horticulture Technicians, once there is a reasonable number of individuals certified. In the U.S., general contractors often stipulate that there must be at least one Certified Landscape Technician on site at all times.
British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects – The BCSLA was established by the enactment of the Landscape Architects Act in 1968 as a Self-Governing Professional Society among whose objectives include the furtherance and maintenance of proper standards of professional practice.
The Canadian Nursery Landscape Association is a national trade association coordinating provincial member groups in the Canadian ornamental horticulture industry. CNLA is a self-governing association dedicated to Leadership through its activities. We are members of the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association.
